PARENT FAQS
Welcome to the Piper Soccer Club. Below are some frequently asked questions about our club.
If you have additional questions that aren't answered on our site or below, please email us at pipersoccerclub@gmail.com.
What is the PSC player path?
This is each player dependent. Typically, kids start off playing recreationally when they are younger--like PreK, Kindergarten, First Grade. Some kids will play recreationally for their soccer careers.

For kids who want more challenge and more soccer, they may gravitate towards our competitive programing. Click here for our club's programming information.

Do I have to buy a jersey for the rec soccer teams?
Yes! The Sporting KC Rec League has its own jerseys that you purchase. PSC Players buy the purple and gray jerseys. You can find that link here. Kids old enough to play in the Heartland League will need to purchase the rec jersey that can be found here. For Heartland League teams, please coordinate with your coach to get the correct number for you player.
Do I need to live or go to school in Piper to play competitively?
Nope! Piper Soccer Club started as a place for the kids of Piper to play but has grown so much in the last few years that many of our teams have players from all over the surrounding area.
What does the player uniform / kit include, how much does it cost and how do I get it?
For 2026 through 2028, our competitive kits will be purchased through Macron. Macron is an Italian company so the sizing is different than what we are used to. We will have sizes available at camps and tryouts to try and find the right size for your players.

Each player will purchase a bundle. That bundle will be around $300 and include: Lavender Jersey, Black Jersey, Purple Jersey, two pairs of black shorts, and two pairs of socks. Additionally, each bundle will include a warm up (zip-up top and pants).

Please confirm with your team what number your player will wear. We want to avoid duplicate numbers.

Additional details forthcoming.
If my kid is in the competitive program, can they play other sports?
YYES
YES! We love multi-sport athletes at Piper Soccer Club. Unlike other clubs who may penalize your player for missing a practice due to another athletic or academic commitment, we celebrate it. Multi-sport athletes are better athletes, get injured less, and think more creatively on a soccer field. While we want your player to get as many touches on a ball as they can to increase their soccer abilities, we also recognize that kids need to do things aside from play soccer. So, communicate well with your coach, and have fun!Additionally, our winter programing does involve playing in a league. However, practices in the winter are not mandatory. We will have open gym space to allow kids to get touches on the ball with their teammates, but this is primarily scrimmage based creative play. It is not mandatory because we have so many multi-sport athletes and know the value of needing a break from mandatory training. Whether your kid wrestles, plays basketball, plays hockey or curls, please have them do that during the winter, play with the team when you can for open plays, and enjoy playing in your winter league whether it's indoor soccer or futsal!
